First Tubing Trip This Year
#31
Joni,

I should have mentioned it earlier, when you and TD fish for walleye at Willard, try a few things that I found to be productive.

When I first started fly fishing for walleyes at the swim beach of Utah Lake (many years ago, before the flood), I tied a black over white bucktail. After cursing the snags, I started tying the fly upside down (hook up). This configuration worked well for me. I first used white bucktail/black lab tail hair. Later, I weighted the flys, and tied them with black/white bucktail. Other colors that I have found productive are yellow/purple, and chartreuse alone or with white.

Tying the flies, which ever pattern you select, with the hood up will make your trip more enjoyable.

Best of luck, I'm anxious to get your report.
