I have another friend who does the basss tournaments, and the same day that we were there (3/31) he was participating in a Bass Tournament up at Bullfrog. They only caught 6 fish all day and had to release 2 as they were less than 13 inches! They only were able to weigh 4 fish, and didn't even place. Most other boats didn't catch their weigh limit either. So bad they skipped the Sunday tournament.
He thinks they were still turned off from the recent storm and cold weather and hopes they will turn back on again in a few days.
Water temp fluctuates from 55 to about 58 depending on where you are, so hopefully a few more warm days will turn the black bass fishing back around.
