try running it through a 220 instead of a 120 that way you can catch them on the way back to earth LOL.
I've used a few of these shockers and have had good luck with them but the only drawback is after a few hours the worms will die.
another way in coaxing them out of the ground is trying mixing some dishsoap and water or if you have a trolling motor put it in a tub of water and run it. the exaust gasses and dishsoap does something to the water and irritates the worms to come to the surface. I dont know if it takes the oxygen out or just exactly what it does but it seems to work.
