i think sunday afternoon will be your best bet out there.... that is the oddest place i have ever fished for cats... it can be really easy.... or very difficult...
are u fishing from a boat or from shore??
try using worms or chub chunks ( will also catch wipers
) and i wouldn't wait them out for too long... i would fish one area and give it fourty minutes.... if you haven't caught one by then... then move... also concentrate on areas that have deepish water near by.... but dont be scared to fish shallow... they are going to be where the food is... and in the warmest water they can find.
the light pole area has produced so far this spring for me.. as well as the south west corner, and the mouth of the north marina.... but like i said .. its very hit and miss....
oh ya and for some reason hot dogs work really well for the bigger cats in there... dont ask me why but they do.. lol i dont use hot dogs but my neighbor does... and he only catches one or two but they are always bigger than any cat i have ever caught in there.... strange.
