power pro vs whiplash
#38
You still trying to get everyone to try that Tyger line Steve? LOL Na, it's pretty good stuff. They make a tieable version that doesn't require any crimps. I don't like the price, my pockets aren't that deep yet. LOL

I use Malin 7 Strand wire w/ crimps, and I rarely use single strand for making leaders, I usually end up using single strand to make quick connections, like a disconnect from my planers. Power pro is some hard core line and I use it on many of my reels that are applicable.

I use Fluorocarbon on all my leaders when it's possible. If I have a lure, like a spoon, that only has a single hook in the rear of the lure, i'll use Fluoro leader. It doesn't matter how sharp the teeth are, on a rear hook lure, you're usually good to go with a soft leader. But, I don't waste my time with expensive fluoro leaders if the species of fish aren't line shy; like bream and catfish for instance. I mostly use Fluoro leaders in saltwater for eagle-eyed fish like mackerel and tuna.

All those fancy pantsy rigs are high speed, but when they aren't neccesary, it can get costly. Make sure that you use tackle that matches the application. [cool]
