]Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops carry a portable fish finder called Fishing Buddy. You can mount them on your boat, pier or what ever.To moun on your canoe, you would have to get a mounting bracket that attaches to your canoe with a clamp. Have seen them advertised in magazines.
