ok well for scofield you would be fishing for trout all day. so here is what i would do on a day of fishing Scofield. first thing in the morning i would work the shalows (2 to 10 feet deep) with a minnow, yo-zure,rapala,spin-a-lure,tube jig's, or red & white spoon. i would do that tell mid-day or when i stop catching fish.. the minnows at Scofield come out early in the morning to feed in the shalows and the trout will fallow them in for the feeding time as well..
at mid-day the fish will be heading to deeper water (10 to 25 feet deep) so then it's time to work jig's,minnows on the bottom, worm or yucky old power puddy,(by the way power puddy has been do good there the last while) yuck!! later in the day i would move back into the shalows and wait for the minnows to show up for there evening meal and again the trout will fallow the minnows up. use what ever was working best in the morning to catch them..
utah lake best i can give ya there is fish at night everything there except perch and bluegill bite better at night.
deer creek i dont fish much anymore so cant say there..
river fishing is diffrent than lake fishing. depending on the river how big and how fast the water is.. but a what i have found is river fish only have seconds to look at what you are offering them and make a choice to eat or not to eat. river fish can not aford to let food go crusing by if it look like something they eat more than likeley they will hit it. so all ya have to do is make whatever you are offering look like something they want eat in that time fram.. placement is more inportent get the offering in frount of them without spooking them and make it look like food.. as i said river fish will hit all day long becaus they can't let food go by any time of the day..
