Hey there Hoobie,

You guys are lucky. We can't use cast nets for anything here in California. Usually the cast net is for shallower bait gathering while the seine is meant more to let out then pull along and I would think allow you to go deeper.

I guess there are different designs in both types of nets.

There's a website called something like netcrafters, netoutfitters or net something that specializes in all kinds of nets and wierd parts for this and that kind of net and is located on the east coast I believe. Using Google.com you should find something AFTER checking the sponsors on BFT, of course.
