I see you are still after catfish. I know how you feel. I started slow too. You can get fat head minnows at your local bait shop. If you are catching blue gills I wonder are you using a bobber? A night bobber? Go early evening like 5 or 6 and stay until it is dark. Look for spots along the shore that look like in the water like it goes deep all of the sudden. Don't use a bobber at all. Just a sinker and hook set up. Make sure your hook is hidden in the bait. I see you have 25 lb test line. You should not have any problem landing a catfish. If you can't find minnows try a dough bait. Make it yourself. Look up recipes online. I made my own recipe. I would share it but I need to sell it already made on ebay as I am in college and need money for school. There are some basic recipes that will help you catch some. Drag your bait slowly on the bottom. I see your fishing with a closed face reel. Get a dough bait hook. I don't use one but I have made my dough bait so it stays on a normal hook. I started with catching blue gill and then I tried fishing for bass but got my self into catfish and then I caught minnows with a bait trap and then I made a real basic recipe for just the dough no flavoring or anything and then I add my own special ingredients. I did this because I over fished the minnows and the bigger ones were all gone. I am still perfecting my bait but I have got a 27 inch catfish and one that was a little over a foot. I should have it up on ebay by the end of the week. I can't seem to find the pictures of the 27 inch one I am not sure where my mom put the pics for that one. It was on her digital camera. Oh well I am just going to go catch another big one to use for the picture.
