Lincoln Beach Tubers Floatilla 8-14-07
#24
Tubedude- Yeah, I think the boat hadn't been on the water for several months. I did go with a friend in his boat and bank fished quite a few other times though this spring and summer.
I think Devil's Creek is almost down to the reserve pool, but that should still leave 15-20 feet deep in front of the dam, so the fish should still be okay, but more concentrated. The boat ramp is above the water I think. Several friends said they did good bait fishing with worms and marshmallows sinking it to the bottom out in the deeper water. As hot as it has been he said you won't catch many fish unless you can get it deep to where they are at.
I will be in the Sandy area for meetings again around Sept 18-20th so I could swing by your place to barter. Mostly what I have used up are the small size jig heads in white and chartreuse colors. The best setting hook was kind of kinked instead of bent round smoothly. Would that be a Dai-riki? or however you spell it?
I cut down the size of the garden some this year so I could get the tiller down between wider rows. I still had a hard time keeping ahead of the weeds. I had some great sweet corn. Now is the time to pick tomatoes and get the salsa cooking.
