... please dont misquote me or turn my words to your favor..
.. what I said is that because of the way you tend to belittle or be condescending when a comment made does not fit your outlook on the subject has caused me to tend to not read your posts .. to clarify.. it is distracting reading a post where information is given at the same time a comment is made to slight someone else on the board.. I did not say your comments.. when directed at the subject matter were not of benefit..
.. you say "Your remarks about my belittling others, comes from my disdain for anyone who spreads BS on subjects where they have no knowledge, and speak like they have expertise. Misinformation has no benefit to anyone reading it. "
...in my opinion it is your disdain that is the problem ... you tend to be cynical and sarcastic.. sometimes acidic in your comments if that persons point of view.. or outlook on the sport.. or how they do a particular thing is not what you beleive to be true or the right way then it is the wrong way and you state it as such..
...for example .. you dont beleive that a person can cast a flyline any distance with a short powerful stroke that is used in confining conditions.. I beleive that you dont like this idea becasue you dont do it that way.. it is out of the ordinary.. it is not something that is done in mainstream fly fishing.. or any fishing style.... I am here to tell you that I have seen this done.. and was amazed at the result.. I am trying to get myself in a situation where I can learn this technique so that I may use in on the lakeshores in my area where casting space is limited..
... I wonder what your true opinion is on spey casting and equipment or the newer line of switch rods and equipment that are on the market and are designed to be an intermediate step between the traditional fly rod and the spey rod.. a type of equipment that may prove to be of great benefit to my situation...
... most people that post on this board are straight forward with their experience level .. I comment on my limits constantly so it is understood that I do not have the experience level on all topics.. but I DO have a great desire to learn.. and in order to learn I read.. ask questions..make comments from my limitied experience.. all in hopes of learning more..
.. you do have a lot to contribute to this board in a variety of subjexts.. it would be a shame for you not to post..but, again, to me your posts are less meaningful if you take shots at someone else posting..
... while the comments on the wader conditions may not of been in line with the original topic, they did keep the topic alive.. so that others had the time to make comments on the subject at hand..
lastly.. I know that no matter what is said you are not going to change the way you post.. you are way to set in your ways to allow this to happen.. with that in mind I will simply discontinue this discussion with you since in reality we are doing exactly what you are the most pissed about..and that is continuing to make comments not related to the topic at hand..
.. in the future I will look forard to your input and try to do a much bettter job of ignoring your cynacism and narrow point of view on topics or comments that you consider to be out of "norm" for fly fishing.....
