Grand Rapids Crome report
#1
I went down to the fish ladder (6th street dam) in Grand Rapids today and asked around how the fishing was. Apparently the salmon are completely done but the steelhead bite has been good and getting better every day. According to the guys I talked with down there A.M. fishing (dawn till around 9am) has been very good. Both the west and east sides of the river have been good with most of the bite coming just west of the main bowl near the ice break. Most are fishing a 4-5 foot leader with artifical egg/micro yarn under a bobber. I was told by 2 of the guys the bobber is a must. They had claims of landing 19 fish by the two of them in a span of 2 hours this morning. These guys are regulars down there..... i believe them.

That being said...... anyone want to take a guess at where I'll be tomorrow morning from 7-9am ?
