Still being a newbie, hence my fly 'pole', the DT line has me intrigued. What is the average length that fly line comes on a spool? Is the sole purpose of DT to use the 'front' and when that wears out you would use the 'back'? Or does it have some other purpose that would require the taper on both ends?
FG, can you explain what the 'head' and 'running line' are.
I've got alot of questions about fly fishing. You've mentioned floating and sinking lines, obviously the floating line floats but at what rate does sinking line sink? I imagine there would be different sink ratios, right?
