You can poke a hole in it to release the air without causing the fish permanent damage or even temporary pain. Perch and most bass are tougher than wimpy fish like crappies. Prompt reduction of air pressure (fizzing) and a quick return to the depths will definitely result in a lower mortality rate than "releasing to the ecology"...letting them float. [/#0000ff]
