I think the biggest reason for the panfish decline in Pineview is a direct result from the low water years. The perch need somewhere to spawn, and somewhere for the fry to reside. All of the foilage was out of the water, and the fish that did hatch were decimated by the many predators in the reservoir.

With that said, I had an excellent year on panfish from Pineview this year. I had 3 days with 25+ crappie and 50+ perch caught. Let's hope we get a ton of water this winter so that we can maintain a good level of water, and help those panfish thrive.
