No ice at Lucerne. Some in the Horseshoe area, but Sheep Creek is still open. There's better numbers for burbot uplake. Ice is down to Marsh Creek as of last weekend, and should build more the next few days with daytime highs in the single digits.
I would fish areas uplake, Holmes Crossing, Big Bend, Buckboard, or Lost Dog, all of which are easily accessible.
The burbot technique is pretty much the same.
Depth- around 20ft of water (try shallower too!)
Location- off rocky slopes or points
Time- after dark
Lures- glow-in-the-dark tube jigs and grubs, 1/4-1/2 oz.
Attractants- frozen sucker, anchovy, minnows, etc., sprays and dips
Tips- recharge glow jigs, keep bait fresh, and stay warm!
