Ice buildup- Steelhead fishing

in the winter, especialy jan and feb, you want to use an ice line. Its a line specialy made for winter fishing, every one makes it, you can find it in all the ice fishing stores, it comes in all sizes from half pound up to twenty pounds....

steel eyelets tend to gather more ice than the enylon ones do, means you may have to go get a new rod, I know you wont mind the trip to the toy store....[Tongue] the wallet on the other hand....

try coating the eyelets with fingernail polish, some guys use a small paint brush or tissue and puts a thin layer of protolium jelly on the eyes...

let us know what you end up with and what works and dosent...
