I'm sure nobody here cares what I have to say on this matter but here it is anyway. You absolutely get what you pay for when buying a rod. With that being said, the only rods I fish are G.Loomis. There are many other fine rods out there that don't cost as much but I like all my rods to be made by the same manufacture. A simple test for the sensitivity of a rod is have the salesman or your buddy make a fist and put the tip in there and then put it up to his throat while you hold the butt section. Have him start talking, you should be able to tell the varying degrees of sensitivity of each rod.
