Man, the Grand Canyon !!!! That brings back memories.[
] Used to hike down the Nankoweepe trial (Sp?) and have a ball with my Golden. Haven't been back there for years since they imposed the permitt and no dog stuff. I'd go back there in a heart beat if it wasn't for that and me being in my mid 70's. Still would give it a shot though if it wasn't for the restrictions.[unsure] Still remember all the indian caves, abandoned river canoes, scenery/canyons and great fishun. That was a long waterless hike though. Must have did it 6-8 times. Oh well, such is life.
I can still remember watching a hen mallard with her young chicks swimming on the edge of the Gunnison River at the bottom of Black Canyon and watching two of her chicks dissappearing one at a time in a swirl from a couple of big brownies.Want to try them for bait? [sly][shocked]
