Would you eat fish from Jordan River?
#22
Hmmmmm. That's probably more likely a function of genetics and metabolic rates. Not because they are filled with parasites lol. Hmmmm, sounds like someone is jealous cause they actually have to workout......[Wink][Tongue] As for sushi, why eat it and then have to take a parasite cleanse......personally I won't eat any raw fish no matter what. Well maybe if I was starving to death. Oh and don't forget about those medium rare steaks. Any raw meat has potential for parasites. Trinchina worms from pork are even more unpleasant. I just laugh and gag when those chefs on the cooking channel grill up those pork chops and say.....ah, nice and pink! Ewwwww. Well done please.

As for fish from Utah lake vs. Jordan river......the lower stretches of the Jordan in salt lake county are like far more polluted than the higher stretches right out from the Utah lake outlet. Fact is, more industrial plants and sewer/wastewater drains dump into the waterway the lower downstream you get. By the time the fish gets close to Great Salt Lake, it will likely glow in the dark. Keep in mind that the GSL is like at the top of the nation in mecury content alone for example. Who knows about other contaminants for the time being.
