Great West, I about fell out of my chair reading about the dog[cool]! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
I caught a frog on a chartreuse jig at Holmes creek. I had put down my rod and was going through my backpack. When I turned to pick up my rod, he was dangling from the jig a few inches from the ground.
I hooked a fish at Trial lake throwing a spoon. When I got it to the bank, I had hooked a sinker attached to about 12" of line hanging out of it's mouth.
While fishing the stream coming into Smith and Morehouse we found some line hanging from a pine tree over the creek. There was a worm still on the hook. The next day we fished through the area again and there was a bat hooked on it. We cut it down, held it down tight and took the hook out. It just sat there for a while licking its nose, then took off.
Quite a few years ago at Pineview fishing for crappie around the inlet of middle fork just before dark, I caught 6 trout on about 10 casts with a 1/16 oz chartreuse jig. All were cutthroats and all were around 18". Must have been schooled up and in feeding on the baby crappie.
2 years ago while fishing for cats on the lower Bear river around midnight I caught a 26" walleye on a piece of carp meat. We didn't even know they were in the river.
To cap it all off, fishing in Spain in a small river. Felt like I had some moss on the line so I pulled it up and found a condom wrapped on the line.[shocked]
