Ice conditions at Bear Lake?
#2
The ice is about 15" and there has been very little melting going on and the edges are still rock solid. There is about 18" of snow on the lake shore. Very light fishing pressure, but the guys I talked to earlier in the week did well for whitefish on the rockpile at Ideal Beach. They also caught one laker (about 10lb) and several cutthroat. If I'm not snowmobiling on Saturday, I'll be fishing on the lake. The only "warm" days we have had up here have been the last two days and it only reached about 35 or so late in the day. Nighttime temps have been about +10 to +15, so anything that melts during the day freezes up by morning.
