I took a drive out to Newton today to see the ice situation. Still ice on the lake. The lake has risen about 10-15 feet since I last stepped on the ice in early march. You would be able to launch from the ramp if ice were off. There is about 10-40ft of open water around the edges depending on where you are at. With the low temps up here in the Valley, I don't know when the ice will be gone. I was hoping the first week in April but we will have to see. I will post when I have further information.
