Had an amazing trip out to Pelican Lake this weekend. I had never been there before and I was not disappointed.
Left with a friend on Friday night and stayed in Roosevelt that evening. We got up Saturday morning to clear sunny skies and no wind. Those perfect conditions remained throughout the day.
We fished all day Saturday and caught an insane amount of blue gills and large mouth bass along the edges of the reeds. I have caught these species of fish before, but never before on a flyrod. You talk about a fight!!
We caught fish in all sizes and even hooked into a couple of LMB around the 3 - 4 lb range. AWSOME.
