Fishingloser,
I drew the Daggett Three corners area. I know the area very well and have had my eye on two bulls already. They are both huge and have managed to survive the hunt for a few years unmolested. With any luck, and a lot of scouting, I may be able to put the one I want to bed the night before the opener. I would rather drag it out and enjoy the hunting, but hey a trophy is a trophy.
Tincanfsh,
A friend of mine brought me meat from a Wyoming spike moose a couple years ago, and it was the best game meat I've ever had. I got a couple steaks from an old moose once that were good, but not up to the quality of a prime bull elk.
I also drew my Northeastern muzzleloader deer so it looks like the Atkins diet for me this fall. LMAO. My daughter won't eat red meat, thanks to a teenage phase and the influence of a 'green' teacher. So I figure if my boy and I can eat about 15 pounds of meat a day for twelve months, we may be able to get through the better part of the years provisions (burp). Just kidding, I promised my hunting partner half of bullle if he'll help me pack it out. I am really stoked about this one. It will be fun no matter what. Life is sweet.
Good Hunting, Kayote
