Made it up to Spinney this weekend to brave the crowds but it wasn't too bad. Even the drive up hwy 285 wasn't bad. Fishing was great as always. The trout averaged 19" and around 2-3 lbs.. Caught most of them trolling. A few jigging white tubes. Trolling we used deep diving cranks (10'-15')on the flat lines and small spoons on the downriggers. The fish were down around 10' deep in 17' of water. Almost everytime I got a little shallow and dragged the cranks through the weeds we caught hammerhandle pike so I tried to stay a little deeper.The wind blew pretty good most of the weekend starting around 9:00 everyday so we got off the water by noon everyday but we ended up with around 30 nice trout and 15 small pike 24" being the biggest. Fished the Dream Stream with no luck. Its running really low. Got a couple pictures AKA fish porn.
