The powers that be have made the decision to use smallmouth bass in other waters to control chubs. But they have not decided to use them in Scofield. They've had the option to put them in, but haven't. Maybe they will, but I doubt it. Scofield doesn't have a great deal of smallie habitat. It doesn't warm up enough to give smallies a good growing season. Their metabolism would be so low that they wouldn't need to eat much for most of the year, so why depend on them to eat chubs when they simply wouldn't be hungry?
