The DWR sort of does have the right to say if it's right or not. They're the governing body over all fishing regulations. Many of us see no point in using live wells. Like I said, pictures and measurements do the exact same thing. It's healthier for the fish and the fishery to immediately be released as well.
I'm not allowed to harvest to my hearts content. And my family depends on the fish and game I bring home. So would I be in the right to go out, regardless of regs and health of the fishery, and bring home every fish I catch everytime I go?
