Wow! What just happened here? TD, shame on you for not locking a post that got completely turned upside down [].
From what I just read it seems to be that bass and walleye fisherman are the ones illegaly planting bass and walleye. A true 'angler' will not transport any live fish to another water. Perhaps somebody who does not want to travel as far to catch a certain species could illegaly plant fish in to a body of water. A 'bucket biologist' I suppose is the term or as I like to call a....*family forum reminder* [].
Unfortunately no matter what happens on this board or who we argue with we will never stop some fool from stocking fish. (unless it's a june sucker, all praise the june sucker).
Utah is a trout state, they manage it as a trout state. They don't have to manage a warm water fishery because 'bucket biologists' take care of that. After the fact it's a big concern for a while to save face but then it fades away...like perch in Jordanelle.
Everybody has an opinion (or complaint) on how the state runs the fishery programs but I never hear about anybody doing anything about it....TD and RMA are excluded.
Ok....my rant is done, sorry.
