Teton River Fishing near Rexburg
#8
I fished the Teton in the section between Driggs and Tetonia this weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't get to fish for long because a Willow bush stole my fly rod as we were floating by in our raft. The water is quite high and we weren't paying enough attention to where we were going and got a little too close to the bank, and before I could react my rod that was sitting on the side of the raft was yanked out. We pulled over but were unable to get it back because of the high water situation. So if anyone finds an Orvis T3 five weight rod downstream from Bates bridge, I would be overjoyed if they would let me know. I only fished for about 15 minutes, but given the amount and poor clarity of water, I don't think the fishing would have been at all good. There were a few golden stones emerging, but I only saw one fish rise the entire float. Once the water comes down it should pick up considerably.
