Does anybody else out there enjoy crawfish diving. My dad and I took up the sport last summer. Some relatives from Utah told us about how much fun they have diving for crawfish at Strawberry Reservoir. So we decided to try it at Ririe Reservoir and had a blast. All you need is snorkeling gear and a good set of lungs. And they taste great, kinda between shrimp and Crab meat. Who would have thought that you could have fresh shellfish in Idaho.
Does anybody know if there are crawfish in other local lakes. I've heard there are some in Island Park Reservoir, and we put some traps at Palli
es this spring and didn't catch any. Anyways its alot of fun and we usually average between 100 and 150 between the two of us in about two hours of diving. It takes about 30 of them to make a meal for one person.
