I explained earlier in the year about cheaters or stingers. What we used to do was tie a rubber band in a knot around the swivel. This way you know how far away from the ball clip you are. When a fish hits the rubber band unties itself during the battle. The bad part about cheaters is you spend more time untangleing stuff than you do fishing.
