noise wise you would have to assume that fish are used to it in lakes, since any small noise can travel a great distance in water. as far as a wake, i believe that is only disruptive a few feet below the surface.
ie, a boat passing like a bat out of hell. it churns a decent wake, but 10 feet below the prop, the effect is not as nearly disruptive as the surface. i have been buzzed one time in my float tube at mantua and was able to continue to catch fish, on the same note i have fished when the lake was a mirror and caught fish, and the same holds true for the opposite of each. my 2 cents.
