Does water skiing boats, pulling skiers or fast boats, reduce the fishing % when trolling or fishing from the bank?

I really don't mind it too much if they would just keep their distance. Sometimes the wakes created by the boats helps as it gives my bait a little bounce when I'm using a bobber. Its the times when they come so close to shore that I can literally cast into their boat (and I don't cast that far). You have the whole lake, I don't need to see how cool your boat/waverunner is.
