[cool]Yes, oh one with the tough to pronounce name (can I buy a vowel?). Adding "sweetener" does indeed refer to adorning these jigs with a bit of worm or fish flesh. I am also experimenting with trying some of the new scented pork and synthetic strips coming on the market. You can custom cut them to add the flutter and additional attraction of bait, and with a bit of the right fish attractant they seem to work as well as bait.
For anyone who is interested, and to whom I have not already sent them, I have a couple of writeups and some pics on my whole baitbug arsenal...making them, using them and preparing the bait, etc. Be happy to shoot them over by email or PM. I've posted this before, but here is a pic of some of the bait bugs and Roadrunners in my arsenal.
By the way, the black ones on the left are trout "candy". Not shown in this pic are several patterns of greens, browns and oranges, representative of crawdad colors. Great for trout, smallies, largies and big sunfish. Oh yeah, catfish like them too.
