If F&G could learn the difference between a poacher and an honest hunter who screwed up, less game would be wasted. Any hunter when shooting at game in heavy brush could hit an unseen animal just feet away from the animal being targeted. Sometimes it really is an accident, but whenever it happens instead of calling F&G the hunter walks away. Why? Because we all know a story where a hunter does the honest thing and F&G treats them like a poacher. I try to hunt in a way where this would never be an issue, but if I ever do hit the wrong animal, I will not take my chances with F&G.
