They haven't even started planting the Trout yet over there. Until then, you may want to bring along some Huddelstons or other large swim baits.
I'm not talking the little 4 and 6 inch like I used to use in UT but the 10 and 12 inch size. Fish the northern coves early or shoot strait across the lake to the bouy line. There are Cat tails or Tules as we call them, and the Bass hang out there early.
You can usually get the little 8 to 12 pound ones to hit there early and then the 14s and 16 come out by around 9:30 to 10:00.
They may start to plant Trout within the next week. If they do, be sure to bring the bigger swim baits for sure.
Small plugs and divers will only get you that. 12" Sluggos are the second best selection.[cool]
