Bassrods -- I'm not sure I follow your comments.
There is nothing wrong with some harvest of big fish. There is something wrong with harvesting vulnerable fish by "unfair" means. Obviously, there are many that feel that spearfishing spawning lake trout is an issue that should be addressed.
As for big cutts at the Berry -- is there a need for further protection than what they currently have?
As for Tigers in Pineview -- I thought there was already a mandatory release regulation on them? What further needs to be done?
Splake or bass? Where and why?
Northern's in Yuba -- is there something happening that needs to be addressed?
I agree with you that individual circumstances must be looked at and addressed. There is no "one-size-fits-all" standard that all waters can be managed for.
But, on the other hand, there is no reason to think that we need to try to protect ALL big fish from harvest. Isn't that the idea of looking at a lake-to-lake basis?
