GMC Sonoma light issues

It's not lilely the battery. It might be a poor connection on one of the battery terminals although that would more likely show up when you tried to start it. Wouldn't hurt to check them though. The most likely problem is a loose connection, probably at the light switch, might even be the switch itself.
