I had a guy shoot an Avocet right in front of me last year duck hunting. He mistook it for a Wilsons Snipe and realized what he had done very quickly. Without me even saying a word, he called and turned himself in. I know he got in a little trouble, but they were very reasonable because he called himself. 99% of the morons at Howards Slough just throw them in the bushes. They shoot any duck that flies over within 150 YDS. and if it is a Canvasback or they are over their limit already they go right in the frag.[mad]
