] I have never fished Big Cottonwood. I have fished Tanners Flat in Little Cottonwood but was unsuccessful. I will have to try Big Cottonwood out! Do you think it is too late in the season now to drive up with the snow and all? I am relatively new to fly fishing so all I know about slinky lines is to use a line straightener like a "samadu" or use an old piece of rubber like from a bicycle innertube and pinch your line between it and pull to generate some heat to straighten the line.
