A little off subject but trout do have a very similar density to water. If the swim bladder is empty they are a little more dense and if they fill it with air the can be the same or a little less dense than water. My best guess based on the picture is that it is 23 inch and 3 and a half pounds. However that is just a guess and I'll take the word of an experience fisherman who saw the fish any day over my guess period. I think the problem is most of us are amateur photographers and our pictures don't always do justice to the fish. Now whoever took the picture of that rainbow certainly makes it look like an 8 pounder. I'm guessing you didn't get that fatty from the Weber.
