[cool][#0000ff]There is quite a bit of area to park near the dam, and to drag your gear down to the ice. Be aware that there are some no parking areas (with signs) and you are not allowed on the dam.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There are quite a few folks who elect to park free. I for one am increasingly upset by all of the closures on roads and access points around the lake that were once available to drive and to launch float tubes or small boats...other than inside a pay area. They use the reason/excuse that they shut off those areas to prevent vandalism...etc. But, the truth is that they want everybody to pay to play...even though it is not a private lake and should offer public access.[/#0000ff]
