super fat cat-leaking seat ??????
#6
[cool][#0000ff]As the Goddess indicated, I am on my second generation of Super Fat Cats. I fished the first one for almost six years before buying a new one. The first one still float and is used for family or friends when the need arises. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I DID have leak problems with the seat on the old model. I had multiple seams in the corrugations and it developed pinhole leaks at almost every one of the corners. By the time I retired it there was probably a pound of Aquaseal holding that seat together.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I have used my 2007 model for almost a year now and have never had a leak in the seat or the main air bladder. About 80 trips last season. The current models have a much different seat design and the quality of materials and construction seem to be better. Time will tell.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There is not a safety hazard in having a leak in your seat, but you will sit lower in the water and the two sides of your craft will pull in on you. A firmly inflated seat not only keeps you sitting up high off the water but provides rigid support to keep the two sides of the tube out away from you too.[/#0000ff]
I seeeeeee
Thank you for the info.
I really like the idea of the air seat so I think I may
geve that a go and see what happens.
Once again thank you
