Well the grayling went up and down the creek before the lures got wet, but did manage to get 1 1/2lb. The suckers are crowding them out, but the pike are really starting to turn aggressive. Took the wife and kids for an hour Tuesday night and caught a mess of fish in the 5 to 8 lb range.
Alot of them had marks from attacks so I'm going back this weekend to find the monsters who will attack a 8lb fish. The ice is going quick so it will soon be time to surface fish for lake trout.
If all else fails there's always those gator toothed critters who will strike at a pop can if presented right. If anybody has any special pike lures let me know and I'll give them a try. Always looking to try something different.[
