If you read several earlier posts by Tube Dude and Fish Nut a week or so ago they explain what they are and have several pictures showing them. Out of the 60 or so fish I filleted maybe a dozen or so had one or two in them and easy to see on the fillet and can be picked out with the tip of the knife blade. They have been in the fish for at least 8 to 10 years maybe longer and we have been eating the fillets and haven't experienced any medical problems other than my hair falling out, big boils on the side of my face and a large hump on my back.
