Heck yea man. I almost went out their today also, my ice fishing this year is the pitts!! We seem to share the same types of fishing habits. Those anglers who are closed minded to spinners are missing all the fun and games while starring at their motionless flies. I am a fly fisherman too but I grew up fishing those blue fox spinners they are a very confident go to lure to find big fish in streams that get a lot of fly fishing pressure(provo,weber you know) I love to double fist with a fly rod and a spinning rod rigged up with an all silver or a cutthroat pattern #1 or 2. I cover miles of river bottoms fishing that way.
