Utah Lake Fishing rules??????
#12
Just a thought from me. I think it is a great thing when anyone takes a pickup truck full of white bass out of Utah Lake. There are two many of them. A few years ago when you caught them they would be real nice fatties. Now they are all small little dinks. If I do catch one with any size to it they are so skinny they are not worth filetting. Fishing for the big cats in the summer has gotten to be a pain because you can't keep a line in the water for all the white bass hitting. Maybe I'm just prejudice against white bass because when I'm fishing for the walleyes and finally get a hit and it turns out to be a white bass, well that's disappointment. It is everyone's personal choice to keep fish or not but I for one will keep every white bass I catch from Utah Lake. It is my way of helping the fishery out. Does anyone know why they have gotten so overpopulated in recent years. Is it because less people fish for them after the issuing of the fish consumption advisory?
