I love fishing in the rain. I am not considered as a fairweather fisherman.
I have noticed from my log book as well as statistics from other friends, that the fish don't mind the rain since they are already wet. haha
On a serious note. The rise and fall of the barometer, which is present prior and during raining conditions tends to trigger the feeding more than the rain does in itself.
The rise and fall tend to move the fishes food up and down the thermoclines which also moves the fish in to a feeding mode. The fish really don't mind the shadow of a boat anyways. They will tend to favor harboring under structure anyways.[cool]
