Got out on the water after work today about 3:30. Figured a couple of hours on the water is better than sittin at the house! Tried out some spots I had looked at on the map in hopes of maybe findin some fish. Got out on some points adjoining flats with a little grass on em. Had a good fish, guessin about 4lbs, get off at the boat. Caught a keeper about five minutes later in the same spot. Fished all around that area for another forty five minutes and nothin. Pulled up on another spot and caught a slick on the first cast and thought I was about to really get on em! Nothin else! Last twenty minutes fished a main lake point with wind blowin across it. Wound up catchin 4 fish there right before dark. One went close to three, had a keeper, and two slicks. It was pretty windy to start with but died down to nearly nothin at dark! Caught all the fish in about 5ft of water on traps. Lookin forward to warm weather! Come on spring time!
